I love how they make the designers have to make a dress out of a piece of lettuce and whatnot… it’s creative and yes, very addictive… Make it work!

I Just Watched: Imitation of Life (1934) and (1959)

I saw the first film a while back and it is amazing… and yes, in the end I cried The Lana Turner & Juanita Moore version is more modern, but lacks the impact of the original version. It does show more of the dynamics of the mother-daughter relationships and the problem faced by the two young women, but I did not feel as devastated in the end as I did with the original.

I recommend these two movies to everyone… especially those studying or interested in race relations and their representations in film.

My Impression of the Film: Makes you think of how you want to be remembered and why. Next time you eat some pancakes… think about it!
